A leading construction materials firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager with extensive experience in the cement manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will manage procurement operations, ensuring a continuous supply of materials while developing policies for cost optimization. Responsibilities include supplier negotiation and performance monitoring, as well as collaborating with internal teams to meet operational needs. This role requires a bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience in the industry.

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager with hands-on exposure to the cement manufacturing industry. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, and cost optimization, while ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials and services aligned with production and maintenance requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the procurement of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and services required for cement plant operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability.
  • Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules and maintenance requirements to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, maintenance, finance, and stores teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
  • Prepare procurement reports, budgets, cost analyses, and performance reviews for management decision-making.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of procurement experience in the cement industry (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of cement plant materials, spare parts, consumables, and sourcing practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Experience with UAE / GCC procurement practices is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
