Responsibilities
- Prepare remarkable meals for our clients.
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep components according to recipes.
- Heavy steam, grill, boil, cook or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and also various other components.
- Examine food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arrange and garnish meals.
- Work well under pressure and within time limitations.
- Make certain that kitchen location, equipment and tools are cleaned.
- Help lead as well as influence the kitchen staff with the restaurant manager.
- Prepare orders according to food safety criteria.
- Suggest ideas for specials or seasonal recipes.
- Sanitize and cleanse work terminals and tools.
- Reorder stock and food materials.
- Track other chefs and team participants.
- Assist other cooks in preparing food or assist other staff when needed.
Qualifications
- Able to function in a fast-paced setting.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Physical endurance to work an entire shift.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Works well as part of a team and on specific jobs.
- Able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Able to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or more.
- Able to read and write.
