Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for their operations in the UAE. The role requires 8 years of experience in BI with strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling. The successful candidate will develop and maintain dashboards, analyze complex data for insights, and work collaboratively with stakeholders. This is a full-time position with no remote work available, targeting a joining timeframe of 15 to 30 days.

VAM Systems is currently looking for Power BI Developer for our UAE operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard and Report Development: Designing developing and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to provide data-driven insights.
• Data Modeling: Creating data models and architectures that support reporting needs ensuring data is structured for efficient analysis.
• SQL Querying: Writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract transform and load (ETL) data from various databases.
• Data Visualization: Implementing best practices for data visualization to create compelling and functional reports and dashboards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing complex data to identify trends patterns and insights that can improve business performance.
• Communication: Effectively communicating findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentorship: Sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Power BI Proficiency: Deep understanding of Power BI features including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculations and data modeling.
• Data Visualization: Expertise in creating effective and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
• SQL: Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Experience with other BI tools: Knowledge of other BI platforms (e.g. Tableau Qlik) can be beneficial.
• Cloud platforms: Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and analytics services (e.g. Azure AWS).
• Python: Familiarity with Python for automation and advanced analytics.
• Gen AI: Understanding of Generative AI innovations and their potential applications in BI.
