To lead and manage all planning, scheduling, and project control activities across the organization, ensuring that all projects meet contractual timelines, resource requirements, and performance standards. The role ensures accurate forecasting, proactive progress monitoring, and timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making by senior management.
Requirements
- Ensure proper implementation of all functions of Project Planning, Scheduling and Control using latest Project Management Software (Primavera, MS-Project etc.) in the Projects as per the Contractual requirements and internal standards set in the Organization.
- Ensure proper coordination with Tender Department for preparation of Programmes, resource analysis, cash flow analysis and fulfilling all other Planning related requirements in Submission of Tenders.
- Coordinate with Contracts Department and Project Management team for preparation of all Time Claims involved in the Project. Appraise CTO / COO about the prevailing Contractual scenario of the Project and ensure proper submission of Extension of Time / Delay Claims.
- Ensure proper understanding of all Project requirements by the Planning personnel before preparation of Contractual Baseline Programme for the Projects and obtaining timely approval of the same.
- Review, comment and monitoring of subcontractor’s programme.
- Ensure proper preparation and submission of all requisite periodical reports in the projects. Study and analyze the reports and appraise the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Technical Officer.
- Visit Project sites on a regular basis to study and analyze the various ongoing Constructional activities in the Projects and advise the Planning personnel for any improvement on the Planning related requirements.
- Discuss the Project scenario with the Project Management Team and suggest measures for improvement in the Project.
- Attending site progress meetings with Client / Consultant for project monitoring forecast, work done, explain delays, holdups etc. in planned progress if any and to suggest remedial measures.
- Evaluate & update manpower planning in coordination with Chief Technical Officer / Chief Operating Officer / HR & Admin. Manager.
- Conduct Performance Appraisal for Senior Planning Engineers, Planning Engineer and Junior Planning Engineer on a stipulated periodical basis in order to submit to HR & Admin. Manager as and when necessary.
- Performs additional duties as required by Chief Operating Officer / Chief Technical Officer.
- Promote QHSE & ISMS policies within the company and ensure that the quality, environmental, health, safety & Information Security management system procedures are followed at all times, striving for continuous improvement until the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System is achieved.
