Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced Piping Stress Engineer to analyze and design piping systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with ADNOC specifications and international codes, and requires 8+ years of experience in piping stress engineering particularly on Oil & Gas projects. Proficiency in CAESAR II is mandatory, and experience with ADNOC-approved EPC contractors is preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

About the job PIPING STRESS ENGINEER

As a PipingStress Engineer, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of piping systems to ensure compliance with ADNOC specifications, international codes, and project requirements. The role supports detailed engineering and ensures piping flexibility, integrity, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform piping stress analysis for static and dynamic conditions for onshore Oil & Gas facilities
  • Carry out stress analysis using approved software such as CAESAR II / AutoPIPE
  • Evaluate piping systems for: Thermal expansion and contraction, Sustained, operating, and occasional loads, Wind, seismic, slug, and relief valve loads
  • Design and review pipe supports, restraints, spring hangers, and expansion loops
  • Prepare and review stress analysis reports, stress isometrics, and support load data
  • Coordinate closely with Piping Layout, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Process teams
  • Ensure compliance with: ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, ADNOC Engineering Standards, International codes and project specifications
  • Review vendor piping stress calculations and support recommendations
  • Participate in model reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and design review meetings
  • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases, as required
  • Address technical queries, deviations, and site-related stress issues
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in piping stress engineering for Oil & Gas projects
  • ADNOC Onshore project experience is mandatory
  • Strong experience in Detailed Engineering / EPC projects
  • Proficient in CAESAR II (mandatory); Auto PIPE is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of ASME codes, piping design practices, and Oil & Gas standards
  • Experience coordinating with multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Good communication and technical report-writing skills
  • Prior experience working with ADNOC-approved EPC contractors (Preferred)
  • Exposure to Brownfield projects and site engineering support (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with vendor coordination and package engineering (Preferred)
  • Experience with pipe support design philosophy and stress optimization (Preferred)
