Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Physics Teacher to join a reputable school in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Physics lessons to students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 ensuring the curriculum is effectively followed and educational standards are maintained. This is a temporary position with the potential for extension based on the school’s needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physics Education or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent) is preferred.
- ADEK Appointment letter is required.
- IELTS 7.0 Band minimum.
Experience
- At least 35 years of experience teaching Physics at the middle and secondary school levels (Grades 6‑12).
- Experience teaching in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage but not essential.
Skills
- Deep understanding of the Physics curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to plan, organize and deliver engaging lessons.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and assessments.
- Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery
- Plan and deliver interactive and engaging Physics lessons covering topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism.
- Use a variety of teaching methods including group discussions, multimedia resources and hands‑on experiments to facilitate understanding.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities ensuring all students are engaged and challenged.
Assessment and Feedback
- Regularly assess student progress through assignments, quizzes and practical experiments.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
- Prepare and grade report cards clearly communicating student progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student performance and development.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Enforce the school’s behavior management policies.
- Develop an inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable expressing themselves and engaging with the content.
Curriculum Support
- Follow and deliver the school’s Physics curriculum while tailoring lesson plans to meet students’ individual needs.
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help such as one‑on‑one tutoring or after‑school assistance.
- Encourage the development of critical thinking, problem‑solving and scientific inquiry skills.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Science Department and school staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Participate in team meetings contributing ideas for continuous improvement in teaching methods.
- Share best practices and teaching resources with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
