Job summary

A leading real estate company in Sharjah is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate salary processing and compliance with UAE labor laws. Responsibilities include preparing monthly payroll, calculating salaries and deductions, and handling payroll queries. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing within the UAE. Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software is essential.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant / Payroll Officer to manage the company’s payroll functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, compliance with UAE labor laws, and proper maintenance of payroll records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll in compliance with UAE WPS (Wage Protection System).
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, deductions, incentives, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and personnel data.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor law, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconcile accounts with Finance/Accounts department.
  • Handle payroll-related queries from employees and provide timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and leave records affecting payroll.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing within the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, WPS, gratuity, and leave salary calculations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/payroll software.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
