Mechanic (Automotive) – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Armored Group (TAG) a global leader in armored vehicle manufacturing is seeking a skilled Car Mechanic to join our team at the UAE facility. As a Car Mechanic you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing armored and civilian vehicles ensuring they meet TAGs stringent safety and performance standards. Responsibilities

• Armored Vehicle Customization
  Assist in fitting and maintaining armored components ensuring alignment with specifications and client requirements.
• System Diagnostics
  Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues in engines, transmissions, suspensions and other critical systems.
• Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics and repairs on armored and civilian vehicles addressing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Preventive Maintenance
  Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks and overall system health checks.
• Component Installation
  Install and replace vehicle components such as suspension systems, engines and transmission assemblies ensuring proper fit and functionality.
• Quality Assurance
  Inspect completed work to ensure all repairs and installations meet TAGs quality and safety standards.
• Collaboration
  Work closely with production engineering and quality control teams to align repair and maintenance activities with project timelines.
• Documentation
  Maintain detailed service logs including diagnostic findings, repairs performed and parts used.

Must Have

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive mechanics is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair with a focus on armored or specialty vehicles is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions and suspensions.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and electrical wiring in vehicles.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment, stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Certifications: ASE Certification or equivalent automotive mechanic credentials.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience working with armored or high‑performance vehicles.
• Advanced Diagnostics: Proficiency in using modern diagnostic software for vehicle systems.
