Job Responsibility Summary
Prepare detailed measurements, BOQs, and cost inputs from drawings and specifications to enable accurate tender pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs and detailed measurements from tender drawings and documents.
- Prepare and check Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and measurement sheets.
- Coordinate with estimators, engineers, and planners to clarify scope and quantities.
- Identify discrepancies, omissions, and risks in tender documents.
- Support value engineering and cost optimisation during tender stage.
- Ensure scope gaps between drawings / specification and Bill of Quantities are identified and raised for clarifications I qualified as part of the tender submission.
- Maintain organized measurement records and supporting documentation.
- When required, prepare and issue subcontractor package for sending out / procuring packages.
- Prepare / Tabulate quotes received from the subcontractors and review them to ensure compliance with the tender drawings / specifications and advise the estimator.
Key Skills
- Strong measurement and BOQ preparation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, measurement software such as PlanSwift, BlueBeam etc., and MS Office.
- Good understanding of construction methods and specifications.
- High attention to detail, analytical ability, and time management.
- Familiarity with measurement standards (e.g. POMI, CESMM, or equivalent).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a tendering environment.
- Familiarity with conditions of contract (FIDIC, bespoke contracts, etc.).
Qualification, Experience, Preference
- Qualification - Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying
- Experience - Minimum 5-7 Years in infrastructure experience.
- Preference - Project Execution Experience with Minimum 2-3 Years Working with the Estimation Team.
