Job summary

A leading construction recruitment firm is seeking a Lab Technician based in UAE to conduct tests on construction materials such as soil and concrete. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and experience in materials testing, particularly with PAHW projects. Responsibilities include preparing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and reporting results to the QA/QC team, ensuring compliance with project specifications and Kuwait regulations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates).
• Prepare, label, and document samples according to project and regulatory standards.
• Ensure proper calibration, cleanliness, and safe operation of laboratory equipment.
• Record, analyze, and report test results to the QA/QC team in a timely manner.
• Support site inspections and material verification when required.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait regulations, project specifications, and internal quality procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors for approvals and clarifications.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician in construction or materials testing.
• Experience on PAHW (Public Authority for Housing Welfare) projects is a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of ASTM, BS, and Kuwait-specific testing standards.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain organized documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit to handle site sampling when required.
