Job summary

A leading marine consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Marine Engine Technician for their Marine Engine Department. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on experience with marine diesel engines and propulsion systems, along with a relevant diploma or degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities include inspecting and overhauling engines, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with classification societies. Competitive benefits package included.

Qualifications

  • OEM certifications preferred.

  • Prepare detailed inspection & service reports.

Job description

Salary: AED 7,000 – AED 10,000 (All Inclusive) + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Marine Engine Technician for Marine Engine Department. If you have strong hands‑on experience with marine diesel engines and propulsion systems, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspection, maintenance & overhaul of marine diesel engines such as Caterpillar, MAN Energy Solutions, Cummins, MTU, Wärtsilä, Yanmar, MAK, Volvo Penta
  • Troubleshooting mechanical & electronic engine systems
  • Overhaul of turbochargers, fuel injection systems, cylinder heads, pistons & crankshafts
  • Alignment & vibration checks for propulsion systems & gearboxes
  • Maintenance of auxiliary equipment (pumps, compressors, generators, hydraulics)
  • Prepare detailed inspection & service reports
  • Ensure compliance with classification societies such as American Bureau of Shipping, DNV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Marine / Mechanical Engineering
  • 5–7 years of hands‑on marine diesel engine experience
  • Experience in shipyards, offshore vessels, or marine workshops
  • OEM certifications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of marine propulsion & auxiliary systems
  • Age: 25+
