Job Purpose
Operationalize Alef’s risk management framework by coordinating risk identification, assessment and mitigation across projects & business units. Translate strategic and operational risks into clear action and provide timely risk analytics to enable informed decisions. Strengthen risk ownership across functions by driving consistent practices, awareness, and follow-through on mitigation plans.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities of Corporate Governance
- Implement and maintain the enterprise risk management framework across all business units and projects.
- Develop and update risk assessment methodologies tailored to Alef's real estate portfolio.
- Establish risk appetite thresholds and tolerance levels for management approval.
Risk Analysis & Quantification
- Generic ERM approach for risk analysis & relevant to Real Estate and sensitivity analysis.
- Create risk dashboards with key risk indicators for executive monitoring.
Risk Governance & Reporting
- Maintain the corporate risk register and ensure risk ownership accountability.
- Facilitate risk committee meetings and present exposure analysis to senior leadership.
- Implement risk management information systems for automated monitoring and reporting.
Business Partnership & Advisory
- Provide risk advisory support for major contracts, joint ventures, and partnership agreements.
- Develop business continuity plans and crisis management protocols for critical operations.
Project Risk Oversight
- Conduct risk reviews at key project milestones to identify emerging threats and control gaps.
- Analyze contractor risk profiles and monitor subcontractor performance across project portfolios.
- Implement project-specific risk allocation strategies and contractual risk transfer mechanisms.
Emerging Risk & Market Intelligence
- Monitor regulatory and market trends impacting UAE real estate development.
- Develop early warning systems for supply chain disruptions and material price volatility.
Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, and Skills Required
Educational Qualification & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Professional risk management certification (CRMP, FRM, or CRMA equivalent) required.
Work Experience
- 8-10 years in Enterprise Risk Management roles within complex organizational environments.
- Minimum 5 years in UAE/GCC construction or real estate sector.
- Experience implementing risk frameworks.
Skills Required
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in risk management/ GRC Tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence capabilities.
- Project management skills with ability to drive risk initiatives
