We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GEMS Al Barsha National School. The successful candidate will work closely with special needs children, providing one‑on‑one support or group to enhance their learning experience and overall development.

Responsibilities
  1. Individualized Support
    1. Provide direct one‑on‑one support to students with SEN in various learning environments.
    2. Implement individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator or relevant professionals.
  2. Academic Assistance
    1. Assist students in understanding and completing academic tasks, adapting materials to suit their learning styles and abilities.
    2. Collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning objectives and modify teaching strategies as needed.
  3. Emotional and Behavioral Support
    1. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN, promoting emotional well‑being and positive behavior.
    2. Implement strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
  4. Communication and Collaboration
    1. Maintain open communication with teaching staff, Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in the student's support network.
    2. Maintain daily communication with parents effectively.
  5. Progress Monitoring
    1. Keep detailed records of student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
    2. Collaborate with the Inclusion teachers to assess and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
