Job summary

A leading hotel chain in Dubai is seeking a Financial Auditor to manage revenue auditing, cost control, and compliance in their finance department. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and Excel are essential for success in this role. The position is full-time and requires no remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Auditing

  • Verify and reconcile daily revenue transactions from all departments (e.g. rooms F&B spa)
  • Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to management and department heads
  • Review and reconcile Point of Sale (POS) and Property Management System (PMS) reports with supporting documentation
  • Verify that cash credit card and bank deposits align with system reports.

Cost Control

  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies and policies.
  • Monitor expenses against budgets and report variances promptly.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses on potential projects and recommend financial feasibility.

Financial Reporting & Record Keeping

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of income and expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately posted in accounting software.
  • Maintain proper and organized documentation for audits and reference.

Compliance & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with department managers to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
