Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE (Safety Engineer) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees on HSE practices and procedures
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
  • Maintain and update HSE records and reports
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure HSE requirements are met
  • Liaise with government authorities and external agencies on HSE matters
  • Keep up-to-date with new HSE regulations and industry best practices
  • Conduct emergency drills and prepare emergency response plans
  • Promote a culture of safety and awareness among employees

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or oil and gas industry
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in conducting HSE training and awareness programs
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel, if required
