About the job HSE Officer (Infrastructure construction/Sewerage Field work)

Stantec is looking to hire an HSE Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.

The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for overall site Safety health and environment management.
  • Shall prepare site safety plan & procedures for site and implement safety policy.
  • Shall conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety Audit and report that to the management.
  • Health and safety supervisors conduct safety Training and other necessary training as fit by the management.
  • Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and documents them for reference.
  • Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
  • Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
  • Conduct Audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor, Raise NCR, Accident, Incident Report.
  • Client Service Management
    • Internal and external client liaison
    • Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.
    • Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.
  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
    • Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
    • Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace.
  • Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer
