Job summary

A facilities management company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a candidate to assist the Facilities Manager with HSE Management systems. The role includes conducting safety training, maintaining records, performing inspections, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager / Engineer to implement the HSE Management systems at Site level.
• Conduct safety walk arounds & report deviations.
• Take active participation in development of hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Conduct safety induction & training for site employees.
• Maintain training records.
• Monitor and report site accidents/incidents statistics.
• Conduct fire drills at site level.
• Assist in developing the site safety plan.
• Promote positive safety culture at the site.
• Prepare emergency preparedness plan.
• Participate in inspections of ladders, scaffoldings, and tools.
• Engage in site safety inspection conducted by management.
• Participate in site-based HSE meetings.
• Develop safety compliance reports based on legal and contractual requirements.
• Ensure availability of PPE for site operations.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Advise site team on safe work systems.
• Monitor mandatory testing & certification of site activities.
• Ensure adherence to company QHSE policy & procedures.
• Consult with workgroup on QHSE aspects.
• Maintain the site hazard register.
• Issue permits to work where necessary.
• Correct unsafe actions and conditions.
• Report near misses, dangerous occurrences, and incidents.

Job description

• To monitor the accident / incidents of the site & report the statistical record.


• To conduct fire drills at site level.


• To assist the Facilities / Safety manager to develop the safety plan of the site.


• To promote positive safety culture at the site.


• To prepare emergency preparedness plan.


• To participate in the ladder / scaffoldings / tools inspection.


• To participate in the site safety inspection conducted by the management team.


• To participate in the site based HSE meeting.


• To develop the safety compliance report based on legal & site based contractual requirements.


• To ensure the availability of PPE required for the site operations.


• To take active participation in incident investigation.


• To suggest the site team on safe system of work.


• To monitor the mandatory testing & certification requirements of the site activities.


• Ensure the workgroup under his supervision to follow the company QHSE policy & procedures.


• Consult with the workgroup under his supervision on QHSE aspects.


• To maintain the hazard register of the site.


• To issue permit to work wherever required.


• Correct any unsafe action, unsafe condition of the site.


• Report any near miss, dangerous occurrences, and incidents.
