A luxury hotel in Sharjah is seeking an experienced housekeeping supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations, interact with guests, and manage staff assignments. Responsibilities
  • Interact with guests as well as individuals outside the hotel, including suppliers, contractors, labour relations representatives and competitors.
  • Report issues and concerns to executive housekeeper if no immediate solution can be found.
  • Cooperate, coordinate and communicate with section heads as required.
  • Direct the work assignments of Housekeeping Room Attendant and public areas attendants.
  • Assign areas to be cleaned by the Housekeeping Attendants.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefing and ensure that all pertinent information for the day is disseminated.
  • Monitor housekeeping employees to ensure room guests, known repeat guests and other VIPs receive special attention.
  • Ensure the cleaning of all public areas and back of the house meet hotel brand standards.
  • Inform other operating departments of housekeeping matters which concern them, notably the front office, to ensure accurate room status, in addition to communicating with engineering and the laundry.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
  • Assist executive housekeeper in employee related matters such as interviewing, appraising and counselling.
  • Identify training needs; assist in developing formal training plans and implementing training sessions.
  • Inspect all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms, public areas, back of house areas.
