Job Summary

The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students. This role includes teaching core subjects, guiding students’ academic and personal growth, maintaining effective classroom management, and fostering strong communication with parents and colleagues. The teacher is expected to support the school’s vision, promote positive behavior, and contribute to schoolwide initiatives

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Teaching & Learning
  • Deliver daily lessons in core subjects (English, Math, Science, Moral/Social Studies depending on grade level).
  • Plan, prepare, and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional activities.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
  • Integrate technology and modern teaching strategies into the classroom.
  • 2. Classroom Management & Student Support
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
  • Establish clear rules, expectations, and routines to support behavior and academic success.
  • Monitor student progress and provide individualized support where needed.
  • Promote respect, collaboration, and social–emotional development.
  • 3. Assessment & Reporting
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance.
  • Prepare reports, portfolios, and progress updates as required by the school.
  • Use assessment data to adjust teaching strategies and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • 4. Parent & Community Communication
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with parents regarding academic performance and behavior.
  • Attend parent–teacher meetings, conferences, and school events.
  • Provide regular updates through school communication channels.
  • 5. Collaboration & Professional Development
  • Work collaboratively with grade-level teams, subject specialists, and school leadership.
  • Participate in professional development sessions, workshops, and training programs.
  • Contribute to school committees, events, and extracurricular activities when required.
  • 6. Administrative Duties
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and documentation required by the school.
  • Ensure all classroom resources, technology, and learning equipment are used responsibly.
  • Follow school policies, guidelines, and UAE education standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience (preferably in UAE or GCC).
  • Strong command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Understanding of UAE school regulations and KHDA/SPEA standards.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching (Smartboard, LMS, digital tools).
