About Wynn Al Marjan Island:
On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five‑star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Head of Stage to join the resort’s Entertainment Administration team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Stage Department.
- Hire and train new employees.
- Lead the team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all equipment, props and scenic elements, puppets and illusions used in each performance.
- Work with the Illusion Designer to obtain a full understanding of all illusions and puppets used in the show and the required maintenance.
- Oversee the operations of the stage scenery, props, puppets and illustrations during the rehearsals and performances.
- Coordinate the backstage storage through load‑in and rehearsals with all other technical departments.
- Supervise the organization, maintenance and cleaning as required.
- Oversee the documenting, monitoring of the scenery installation specifications and drawings, create an inventory of all scenery, phenomena, equipment and supplies and document all pertinent inspection and maintenance records.
- Monitor all scenery, props, puppets and illustrations to maintain a safe environment.
- Oversee the coordination and completion of all show presets.
- Develop and oversee a regular and long‑term maintenance schedule for all department equipment, scenery, props, puppets and illustrations and participate in such inspections regularly.
- Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff.
- Support the Executive Director of Technical Operations in creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs.
- Produce yearly department budgets. Manage the department’s budgets and capital expense projections and oversee the supply, replacement and inventory of consumables.
About You
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as Head of Stage for a large‑scale theatrical or production show.
- Must have prior experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical systems and be skilled in theatrical rigging, flying effects, stage carpentry, welding, mechanical and hydraulics.
- Experience with construction and maintenance, modern theatrical scenery and equipment including steel, wood, plastics, paints, power tools, hand tools, dust control and chain motors.
- Prior experience working with illustrations and puppets is a plus.
- Must be able to manage staff and perform under pressure as well as manage logistics.
- Must have the ability to create, implement and work within fiscal budgets.
- Must be highly organized and be able to function in a stressful environment.
