About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and scale the Quantix engineering organization. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with deep technical expertise proven experience in building digital lending platforms and a strong ability to align technology with business and regulatory needs. You will manage a high-performing engineering team define our technology strategy and ensure delivery of robust scalable and compliant lending solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering organization of 30–50 people including engineering managers and senior developers.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy driving architecture decisions and technology improvements for scalability performance and resilience.
• Oversee integrations with critical systems such as credit bureaus KYC / AML providers payment gateways and risk scoring engines.
• Ensure development and operation of reliable data pipelines and real-time risk monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Risk Data Science and Legal to align technology with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Foster a culture of ownership engineering excellence agility and continuous improvement.
• Represent engineering in strategic discussions with stakeholders regulators and external partners.

Your Experience

We expect you to bring :

• 10 years of engineering experience including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in building and scaling digital lending platforms ideally within Fintech or consumer banking.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk models loan underwriting workflows and regulatory requirements in lending.
• Experience working closely with data teams (ML / risk modeling) and supporting real-time decisioning systems.
• Hands-on background with modern technology stacks (Java Kotlin Flutter or similar) microservices and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in the UAE or other emerging markets is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing distributed agile teams or cross-border collaborations.
• Familiarity with CBUAE regulations and credit bureau integrations in the GCC.
• Background in B2C or SME lending including BNPL salary advance or working capital products.
