Job summary

An engineering consultancy firm is looking for a Geology Supervisor for a salt cavern project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will oversee technical field staff, ensure project timelines are met, and communicate with clients. A Diploma or Degree in Geology Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience are required. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years relevant experience with at least one project in SALT CAVERN STORAGE.
• Fluent in English - both verbal and written.
• Ability to address problems at site quickly and effectively.

Job Description:

We partner with an Engineering consultancy firm where they have a project in UAE for a Salt Cavern project.

Responsibilities

• To provide oversight to technical field staff in the performance of testing services
• Provide daily monitoring and progress of current project relating to Salt Cavern
• Maintain project schedule status and communicate with Department Managers, Project Managers and Office Managers on resources requirements and project updates
• Plan, schedule and dispatch staff to project sites based on skill set, certificates, location, project and priorities
• Regular communication with clients to provide up to date information in regard to company's ability to meet expected project timelines
• Monitor testing to ensure it is completed based on project plans and specifications

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Geology Engineering
• Min. 8 years relevant experience with at least one project in SALT CAVERN STORAGE
• Fluent in English - both verbal and written
• Ability to address problems at site quickly and effectively
• Experience in working within multi cultural environment
• Willing to work in UAE
• Willing to take on 1 year contract, with possible extension.
