Conversion Engineer(FLNG

Position to report: Conversion Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adhere company safety policy and actively participate in creating safe working environment at all time
  • To undertake Jobs assigned by the conversion manager
  • Lead FLNG conversion engineering subcontractor
  • Prepare Scope of Work for detailed engineering and Yard activities
  • Lead and supervise detailed engineering activities
  • Coordinate with project team dedicated discipline leads
  • Involved in technical review of subcontractors
  • Review and update Vessel and engineering documentation (P&ID OIM manuals safety studies mooring and installation procedures)
  • Interface with Class and ensure compliance with Class rules for new equipment and life extension of existing equipment (hull fatigue assessment)
  • Interface with package managers
REQUIREMENTS
  • Master Engineering Naval Architect
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Engineering lead
  • Experience in ship conversion or FLNG/FSRU newbuilding
  • LNG or cryogenic experience required
  • Extensive knowledge in engineering and naval architecture
  • Vessel conversion experience required
  • Familiar with applicable regulations codes of practice and standards in the context of marine and offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in the field of Marine and Offshore activities with regards to transport and installation including mooring
  • Must have handson experience with installation and mooring design
  • Must have handson experience with STS operations
  • A good knowledge of all appropriate engineering systems
  • A good knowledge of safety and emergency systems and equipment onboard
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in English
