Job description

The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for members and guests ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role includes handling membership inquiries, assisting with check-ins, processing payments, and maintaining overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Reception:
  • Greet members and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Assist with member check-ins, registration, and guest passes.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about memberships, class schedules, and facility services.

  • Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Membership & Sales Support:
  • Provide information on membership plans, promotions, and fitness programs.

  • Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations.

  • Handle billing, payments, and account updates.

  • Promote additional services such as personal training, classes, and retail products.

Administrative & Facility Management:
  • Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area.

  • Monitor access to the facility, ensuring only authorized members enter.

  • Assist in scheduling fitness classes and personal training appointments.

  • Keep accurate records of attendance, memberships, and daily transactions.

General Duties:
  • Ensure compliance with gym policies and safety regulations.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the reception and lounge areas.

  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.

  • Support special events and promotions as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or business is a plus.

  • Previous experience in customer service, front desk operations, or the fitness industry is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer skills (experience with gym management software is a plus).

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for health, fitness, and wellness is a plus.
