Job description

Ziina is looking for a driven and hands-on FP&A Manager to be our founding financial planning expert. This is a high-impact, foundational role where you will design, implement, and own our entire financial planning and analysis ecosystem from the ground up. You will be the primary architect of our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting infrastructure, directly enabling data-driven decision-making for our leadership team, and relevant external parties. If you are passionate about transforming raw data into strategic insights and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is your chance to build a best-in-class FP&A function that scales with a hyper-growth FinTech company.

As a FP&A Manager at Ziina you will:
  • Design, implement, and own the company’s first end-to-end FP&A function, including all processes, templates, and reporting standards for budgeting, forecasting, and scalable variance analysis.
  • Build and maintain the company-wide budget and quarterly re-forecasts from scratch, gathering, consolidating, and challenging inputs from all departments.
  • Create and manage dynamic, driver-based financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow, including developing scenario analysis tools to evaluate strategic options (e.g., product launches, pricing).
  • Design and deliver comprehensive monthly KPI dashboards, P&L reports, and variance analyses for leadership, investors, and the Board, establishing clear review cadences.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, working closely with Product, Ops, and Engineering to understand business drivers, align assumptions, and translate operational activities into measurable financial impacts.
  • Build the financial data infrastructure, including defining mapping, validation, and reconciliation processes necessary for accurate FP&A reporting.
  • Lead data analysis directly by using SQL or similar tools to pull and manipulate raw datasets, ensuring data integrity and independence from other teams.
  • Produce investor updates and Board materials, ensuring external financial communications are accurate, consistent, and on-message based on the unified financial model.
  • Continuously seek and implement automation into forecasting, reporting, and data workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reduce manual effort as the business scales.
To succeed in this role, you likely:
  • Have 4–6 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within a high-growth startup, FinTech, or technology company.
  • Possess expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills, with a proven track record of building and owning company-wide financial models from scratch.
  • Have deep proficiency with data manipulation and analysis, including strong working knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
  • Are highly skilled in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, etc.) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with and influence cross-functional leaders (Product, Engineering, Operations).
  • Are self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
What would amaze us
  • Experience in a FinTech or B2B SaaS environment, with deep understanding of relevant KPIs (e.g., CAC, LTV, churn, cash runway).
  • Proven success in establishing an FP&A function for a company that has undergone a significant funding round (Series A/B or later).
  • Direct experience automating core FP&A processes using dedicated software solutions (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, etc.).
  • A CPA, CFA, or MBA qualification.
  • Experience directly building out data pipelines or data warehousing for finance-specific needs.
