Job description

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading group of companies in the UAE to recruit an Fire & Safety Manager who will lead fire risk assessments design safety solutions and ensure compliance with UAE fire codes and international standards. The role involves evaluating fire hazards recommending suppression systems and overseeing safety protocols for clients in Dubai. This is a group level role reporting to Group CEO and Business Excellence Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and safety audits for buildings, industrial facilities and commercial properties.
  • Develop and implement fire prevention & protection strategies in compliance with UAE regulations (DCD Civil Defense).
  • Recommend firefighting equipment, suppression systems and emergency response plans.
  • Advise on security & safety solutions (CCTV, access control, evacuation systems).
  • Review architectural & MEP designs for fire safety compliance.
  • Provide training on fire safety protocols, emergency preparedness and evacuation drills.
  • Liaise with government authorities, contractors and clients for approvals and compliance.
  • Stay updated on global fire safety standards (NFPA, BS, IFC) and local UAE fire codes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Certifications (preferred): NFPA CFPS, NEBOSH Fire Safety, or UAE Civil Defense‑approved courses.
  • 10+ years in fire risk assessment, safety consulting or firefighting (experience in UAE/GCC preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of fire suppression systems (sprinklers, alarms, hydrants), emergency response and security solutions.
  • Experience working in high‑risk environments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Airports, Gas installations, Fuel depots, etc.).
  • Familiarity with UAE Fire & Life Safety Codes and approval processes.
  • Excellent communication & report‑writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a great deal of autonomy / minimum supervision.
