A leading hospitality company in Dubai is looking for a Financial Controller to manage financial activities and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. You will lead the budget planning processes, oversee financial transactions, and support both internal and external audits. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, possess relevant professional certifications, and have at least 2 years of experience in a finance role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to manage the Groups financial activities, monitor transactions, oversee budgeting, planning, and forecasting, and ensure compliance with corporate and fiscal reporting requirements. This role aims to optimize financial operations and provide visibility on the Groups financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead annual target setting and planning processes in line with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor financial transactions and balances to ensure expenditures remain within budget and profitability is maintained.
  • Collaborate with Cross Charges and Corporate Finance to align transactional finance operations.
  • Manage statutory filings, reconciliations, and local adjustments to ensure compliance with authorities.
  • Maintain ledgers and support system upgrades for accurate financial tracking.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
  • Develop, review, and approve monthly reporting packages (Balance Sheets, P&L, Cash Flow).
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Guide day-to-day hotel financial operations, fostering teamwork and high performance.
  • Mentor and motivate subordinates while identifying process improvements and change initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent (Masters preferred).
  • Professional Finance/Accounting Certification (CPA, CIMA).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in finance, ideally in the hospitality/restaurant industry or a recognized UAE blue-chip organization.
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, policies, cost control, and fund management optimization.
  • Understanding of restaurant operations is a plus.
  • Excellent budgeting, financial planning, and modeling skills.
