Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our team, focusing on risk management, insurance coordination, and trade finance activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large organization, managing general insurance policies, handling trade finance requirements, and maintaining effective relationships with banks and insurance vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all General Insurance policies, including Property All Risk, Marine, Motor Fleet, and others.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to ensure compliance with Trade and General Insurance requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Projects team on erection insurance and integrate completed projects into general insurance coverage.
  • Negotiate with insurance brokers to renew all insurance policies before expiry, securing the best possible terms and rates.
  • Initiate and manage insurance claims in coordination with relevant departments until settlement.
  • Assess risk activities and recommend or arrange appropriate new insurance policies.
  • Handle opening of import LCs as required and ensure timely release of import documents from banks, handing them over to the Supply Chain team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, providing necessary documentation and updated KYC details.
  • Manage official correspondence with banks and other entities via calls and emails concerning both organizational and staff matters.
  • Provide essential information to internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements and support financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, CA Inter, or CMA Inter qualification.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in risk management and trade finance within a large organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Experience dealing with banks and insurance vendors.
