Job summary

A global machinery manufacturer in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to manage the delivery and installation of pressure control products. The ideal candidate will possess at least six years of experience in the oil and gas sector, primarily with wellheads, and will be tasked with troubleshooting and maintaining equipment while providing exceptional customer service. Role Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the delivery, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of pressure control equipment on customer location. The Field Service Technician III is a highly experienced technician with the ability to perform all tasks independently, while training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower-level employees. They may be responsible for leading daily operations while on site. You will require experience of wellhead.

Travel requirement

This role requires working in customer locations on a rotational basis in Kuwait.

What You Will Do
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain Wellhead & Pressure Control Products
  • Identify, analyse and repair product failures as required based on Manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Provide technical product orientation and basic user functionality training to customer when required
  • Work closely with co‑Field staff to implement appropriate policies to manage workflow and communication
  • Advise customers of the correct installation and operating procedure for the equipment as well as the maintenance required
  • Complete and accurate job reporting

  • Relevant experience would include work with hands‑on application of Equipment (Wellheads, Valves, Specialty Connections & Piping, Trees, Valves, Mudline Equipment, etc.).
  • Well completion and installation of X‑mas tree.
  • Installation and removal of actuators.
  • Monitoring well pressure, monitoring for annulus pressures, checking for missing items on well heads and arranging for replacement.
  • Installation and retrieval of non‑return valves and VR plugs on wells for well abandonment (well securing).
  • Carry out integrity leak on X‑mas tree valves, wing valves and swap valves at the same time count valve turns in close and open position, to ensure they are OK.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred with MS Office proficiency.
  • Strong English skills are preferred. Multi‑language ability will be a positive achievement. Arabic knowledge will have a distinctive advantage.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: All EHS certification validity to be maintained, required by Customer.
  • Advanced training in Wellhead.
