Job Description:

The College of Information Technology (CIT) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Computer and Network Engineering. We are seeking exceptional candidates with expertise in Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, and Quantum Hardware, particularly those who can integrate these areas with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to drive the next generation of computing and communication technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, establish and lead a competitive research program in Quantum Computing, Communication, and Hardware with emphasis on AI‑driven quantum systems, hybrid classical–quantum architectures, and intelligent hardware design, and secure research funding from national and international sources. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to publish impactful research in leading journals and conferences, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and contribute to the advancement of the college and the broader academic community through leadership, innovation, and service. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and must have a proven record of research achievement in one or more of the following areas: quantum computing and hardware design, quantum communication and networking, AI for quantum systems, or quantum machine learning and AI–quantum hybrid algorithms. Demonstrated success, or strong potential, in securing research funding and building collaborative projects is essential. Evidence of effective and innovative teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels is also required. Industrial or practical experience in quantum technologies, advanced computing, or intelligent hardware systems will be considered a strong asset. The College of Information Technology offers undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science & AI, Information Security, and Information Technology, in addition to graduate programs at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels. Minimum Qualifications:
