Position Summary

Responsible and accountable for providing services in all aspects of the operation, ensuring that the strategic objectives and operational plans of the organization, as developed by the Board, are carried out to provide effective and efficient delivery of services.

Assists with project development and planning to ensure more efficient service and organization of the department.

Assists the Eng. Manager in the coordination, supervision, and completion of all tasks & projects as appropriate.

Coordinate between the facilities and the other departments.

Prepare accurate reports for upper management.

Summary of Main Duties
  • Answer inquiries by email, phone or walk-in clients
  • Discuss services to clients for both Healthcare and Medical Equipment
  • Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
  • Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements

Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.

Responsibilities
  • Some services are provided by a private company contracted to the hospital and the extent of these duties will depend upon the contract.
  • The administrator will need a holistic view of hospital services and the capacity of work and a number of external contractors.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with UHS Health and Safety regulations as described in UHS Policies and procedures.
  • To communicate daily requirements of our customers to teams responsible for delivery of the service.
  • Contribute individually and in the teams to ways of continuously improving the service.
  • To co-ordinate work patterns and ensures sufficient cover is available at all times.
  • Review and maintain quality system procedures.
  • Communicate developments and outcomes to all staff, keeping staff fully informed at all times.
Position Requirements/Qualifications
