Job summary

A multinational corporation is seeking a Compliance Officer to lead compliance initiatives in the Middle East and South Asia. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in compliance within multinational environments, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships. Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory developments, conducting training, and overseeing due diligence processes. This role is contractual and requires onsite presence in Dubai.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering compliance training and programs.

Job description
Regional Compliance Oversight:
  • Lead compliance initiatives across Middle East and South Asia ensuring alignment with local regulations global standards and France/EU frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborating with executive leadership in Dubai regional leadership across relevant countries and legal counterparts in to harmonize compliance strategies and support business growth.
Policy Implementation & Training:
  • Roll out compliance policies and procedures including anti-bribery anti-corruption data protection and trade compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees and third parties.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
  • Perform periodic compliance risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support internal audits and investigations related to compliance matters.
Third-Party Due Diligence:
  • Oversee due diligence processes for vendors partners and agents.
  • Ensure third-party compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities investigations and risk assessments.
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Internal Investigations & Reporting:
  • Overseeing internal audits and investigations ensuring transparency and accountability in line with both UAE and French standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Legal HR Finance and Operations to embed compliance into business processes.
  • Act as a regional point of contact for compliance-related queries and escalations.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelors degree in Law Business or related field; Masters or professional certification (e.g. CCEP ICA) preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in compliance legal or regulatory roles preferably in multinational environments.
  • Strong understanding of regional regulatory landscapes (especially UAE KSA India Egypt Qatar etc.).
  • Experience in managing and delivering ethics and compliance programs tools and training across diverse jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Information :
  • Detailed working knowledge of legal regulatory and compliance frameworks impacting Middle East and South Asia
  • Detailed working knowledge of International Financial Institutions and their compliance programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver tailored campaigns training and tools to change behaviours at all levels throughout the organisation
  • Must be able to work independently and problem solve but understand how to engage with people throughout the organisation and work in collaborative manner.
  • Attention to detail and excellent project management skills
