Our Ideal Candidate

The Engineering Coordinator plays a key administrative and communication role within the Engineering Department, ensuring that maintenance, preventive programs, and operational tasks are seamlessly organised and executed.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate effectively between technical teams, suppliers, and other departments in a luxury hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities

Department Coordination & Administration

  • Manage daily coordination for the Engineering Department, ensuring all workorders and preventive maintenance activities are logged and tracked accurately.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation, including compliance records, PPM schedules, inventory lists, and vendor contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist in procurement activities, prepare requisitions for tools, materials, and spare parts, and follow up on deliveries.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in preparing reports, scheduling work, and managing departmental communication.

Operational Support

  • Monitor guest room and public area maintenance requests, ensuring prompt resolution and follow-up.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Front Office to coordinate room readiness and maintenance updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, brand, and operational standards.
  • Provide administrative support during emergency repairs, inspections, or special projects.

Team & Communication

  • Facilitate smooth communication within the Engineering team and across hotel departments.
  • Assist in training coordination, recordkeeping, and departmental meetings.
  • Uphold the resort’s service culture through professionalism, reliability, and collaborative teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in hotel engineering coordination or building maintenance administration, preferably within a five-star or luxury resort environment.
  • Basic understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-life safety).
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS or engineering software is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and follow-up abilities.
  • A warm, organized, and service-oriented personality with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to support emergency maintenance and shift-based operations when required.
