Key Responsibilities

• Automation System Management

  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot the hotels Building Management System (BMS) energy management and other automated engineering systems.

  • Ensure proper calibration and functionality of sensors, controllers and automation devices.

  • Update system settings and schedules to align with occupancy and operational needs.

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Coordinate with the engineering team for preventive maintenance activities on automated systems.

  • Respond promptly to system alarms, faults or breakdowns minimizing downtime and guest impact.

  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, repairs and maintenance activities.

• Energy & Sustainability

  • Assist in implementing energy‑saving measures through automation system adjustments.

  • Analyze energy consumption reports and recommend efficiency improvements.

  • Support sustainability initiatives by optimizing equipment runtime and reducing waste.

• Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Engineering, IT and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.

  • Provide technical support and training to engineering colleagues on automation system usage.

  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for system upgrades, service or technical issues.

• Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all automation systems comply with local regulations, brand standards and safety requirements.

  • Follow hotel procedures for workplace safety, fire prevention and emergency response.

  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, system manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
