Job summary

A prominent healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to assist with gastrointestinal procedures and maintain records. Responsibilities include patient preparation, collaboration with medical staff, and conducting necessary investigations. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Endoscopy, possess a current DOH license, and have at least two years of experience. Fluency in English is essential, Arabic is a plus. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience after qualification.
• Current license in country of origin with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• BLS trained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide AM clinic preparation for early morning.
• Explain endoscopy procedures to patients with support from staff.
• Collaborate with OPD Supervisor and anesthesia department for scheduling.

Skills

Knowledge of GI procedures

Fluent in spoken and written English

Ability to explain medical procedures

Job description

Responsible for assisting endoscopy and other GI procedure and maintenance and record keeping of endoscopies suit.

Responsibilities

Prepares and provides AM clinic preparation for early morning. Also ensure consent.

Explain endoscopy procedures to patient with support of his/her language with pro department staff. To check about any contraindication to endoscopy or sedation & inform the Doctor.

Gives instructions and prepares needed laboratory investigations for patient undergoing endoscopy procedures. Histopathological Biopsy.

Collaborates with the OPD Supervisor and anesthesia department in scheduling endoscopic examination that requires anesthetist intervention.

Assist the ERCP in giving contrast media to the patient and observe any untoward reactions while procedure is ongoing.

Display knowledge of the radiation hazards.

Participates in any PI activities and attend continuing nursing education activity relevant to area of mandatory requirements.

Qualifications

Diploma/ Bachelor in Endoscopy.

Well knowledge in GI procedures and Endoscopy machines.

Minimum 2 year experience after qualification.

Current license in country of origin with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

BLS trained.

Must be fluent in spoken & written English. Arabic speaking desirable but not essential.
