Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the end-to-end real estate process, including site selection, lease negotiations, renewals, terminations, and store openings.
  • Oversee the administration, validation, and maintenance of lease and property documentation.
  • Manage risk assessments, budget control, and cost optimization for leases and property-related expenditures.
  • Coordinate and track landlord communications, lease amendments, and negotiation points.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of store openings renovations.
  • Identify potential issues with significant economic impact and lead efforts to develop practical solutions.
  • Provide accurate data and insights for reporting on the real estate portfolio.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all contracts, legal agreements, and adherence to requirements.

Skills

ROLE SUMMARY

The Real Estate Manager is responsible for driving the growth and optimization of the store portfolio by identifying, evaluating, and securing prime locations that align with Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle’s strategic objectives. This role oversee all aspects of real estate management, including site selection, lease negotiations, and store openings, while ensuring efficient portfolio performance and strong brand representation. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Real Estate.

ROLE PROFILE
  • Support the execution of the end-to-end real estate process, including site selection, lease negotiations, renewals, terminations, and store openings, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and market strategy.
  • Oversee the administration, validation, and maintenance of lease and property documentation, working closely with Legal and Insurance teams to ensure compliance and protect organizational interests.
  • Manage risk assessments, budget control, and cost optimization for leases, rentals, fit-outs, and property-related expenditures to drive operational efficiency and financial discipline.
  • Coordinate and track landlord communications, lease amendments, and negotiation points to facilitate timely lease execution and effective portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal—to ensure on-time delivery of store openings renovations, and adherence to brand and operational standards.
  • Identify potential issues with significant economic impact and lead efforts to develop practical solutions.
  • Provide accurate data and insights for reporting on the real estate portfolio, recommending actions and measures for optimization.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all contracts, legal agreements, and adherence to municipality and government requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration
  • 7 years’ experience of development management on major real estate development projects.
  • Excellent communication in English.
  • Experience in the MENA property sector is highly desirable.
