Job description
Synopsis

As a Duty officer you shall be Control and Supervise Ramp, Equipment, Cargo & Passenger Operation, Co-ordinates/plan/Supervise with the Assistant Duty Officer, Senior Ground Support Equipment Operators and other team members to ensure smooth operation and to manage full responsibility for the entire equipment operations.

Accountabilities
  • Monitors the entire flight operational movement shift wise, handles & monitors the staff
  • Monitors and arranges schedules in accordance with the airlines & co-ordinates with Ramp & Load Control sections for flight details & needs.
  • Disseminates manpower according to the flight schedule.
  • Prepares charge notes for every flight shift wise.
  • Reports anomalies through Briefing Sheet & ensures all discrepancies, irregularities are reported to the Manager.
  • Reviews manpower assignment and equipment requirements and ensures availability of resources.
  • Conducts pre-flight and post flight briefings.
  • Arrange schedules for non-routine flights which include VIP’s & extra flights.
  • Co-ordinates with clients and airport management and all concerned parties regarding Ground Handling Services.
  • Attends to every incoming calls from the office and capable of quick efficient decisions.
  • Attends periodic meetings conducted by the Manager.
  • Ensure that the Munawala Procedure Manual and Munawala Management Safety Procedure as mentioned in the manual is adhered to.
  • Reporting Incidents/Accidents/ Near Misses.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, including delays, incidents, and equipment issues.
  • Ensure healthy communication is maintained throughout the operation.
  • Ensure that the SOPs and Ground Handling Manuals are read and understood.
  • To highly ensure that the safety bulletins / work instructions flashed across the stations are brought to the knowledge of all staff and adhered to.
  • Prepare daily reports and submit them to senior management.
Education & Experience
  • Diploma (2 years or more); proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in airport operations, cargo handling, or a similar field.
