Job description

Overview

This position is based in Ireland.

Fabricates, installs, and repairs sheet metal ducts and duct fittings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Reads blueprints, cuts and forms metal, assembles components, and ensures proper airflow and sealing.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for duct routing and sizing.
• Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various tools and machinery.
• Seal and insulate ductwork to ensure efficient airflow.
• Work collaboratively with other trades on construction sites.
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper installation and airtightness.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, particularly when working at heights or in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in sheet metal work or HVAC duct installation.
• Proficiency with sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., shears, brakes, crimpers, welders).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
