Job summary

A leading oil and gas company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee the quality control of drilling fluids and chemicals. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant field experience. Key responsibilities include monitoring chemical quality assurance, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and liaising with procurement to maintain safety stocks. Proficiency in English and good computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of field experience in drilling, oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Good computer skills with ERP software.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control quality assurance of drilling and completion chemicals.
  • Carry out spot checks on chemicals and verify storage procedures.
  • Liaise with Procurement Division to maintain safety stock of chemicals.
  • Investigate chemical quality discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct trouble-shooting for drilling problems and assess new fluid formulations.
