Director Technical Support - Security Printing - AED 50K - 55K

Budget: AED 50K – 55K + Family status + Bonus

Note: Only candidates from Currency Printing, Industrial printing OR Digital Security Printing will be shortlisted.

Overview

This is a leadership role, established to embed operational excellence, cost efficiency, and reliability as core drivers of the Group’s industrial and manufacturing agenda. The incumbent will define and operationalize strategies that elevate technical performance, optimize maintenance and utility frameworks, and align production systems with global equipment standards.

This role serves as a critical enabler of enterprise resilience, balancing near-term operational requirements with long-term system reliability and sustainability. By instilling a high-performance culture, advancing compliance, and driving continuous improvement across technical, operational, and support functions, the Director ensures that Group’s industrial sites remain efficient, innovative, and future-ready.

Qualifications & experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent
  • 15+ years in technical operations leadership, preferably in large-scale industrial/manufacturing environments.
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and develop technical teams, including engineering, utilities, and production support.
  • Oversee Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), Focused Improvement (FI), and Daily Direction Setting (DDS) systems to achieve world-class reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with equipment standards, technical specifications, and global best practices across all plants.
  • Direct and optimize maintenance activities (planned and unplanned), ensuring minimum downtime and maximum asset availability.
  • Manage utilities systems (power, water, steam, compressed air, etc.) to deliver sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs covering reliability, availability, cost optimization, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Lead major capital projects, technology upgrades, and plant expansions in line with business growth plans.
  • Champion safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all operations.
  • Drive loss elimination, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business objectives.
  • Develop the organization’s technical capability through structured training, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to achieve cost, quality, service, and performance targets.
  • Provide expert guidance on business continuity planning for technical operations, ensuring resilience during disruptions.

  • Maintenance Systems Mastery – Strong expertise in Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Predictive/Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM).
  • Reliability Engineering – Skilled in applying MTBF, MTTR, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and FMEA to improve equipment uptime.
  • Utilities Management – Solid knowledge of operation and optimization of utilities such as power, steam, compressed air, chilled water, and wastewater systems.
  • Equipment Standards & Asset Integrity – Working knowledge of global standards (ISO, IEC, ANSI, API, ASME) and ability to enforce compliance across equipment lifecycle.
  • Operational Excellence Tools – Practical application of Lean Manufacturing, TPM pillars, Six Sigma, and OEE improvement methods.
  • SAP/CMMS Systems – Proficiency in SAP PM or equivalent CMMS for maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Safety & Compliance – Strong understanding of HSE standards, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance for industrial operations.
  • Cost & Budget Management – Ability to manage maintenance budgets, optimize asset lifecycle costs, and deliver cost-saving initiatives.
  • Vendor & Contractor Oversight – Capable of managing technical service providers, ensuring adherence to contracts, SLAs, and performance benchmarks.
