- Prepare hemodialysis machine for dialysis treatment.
- Initiate and terminate dialysis treatment for the renal failure patients.
- Set all the parameters in the dialysis machine as per nephrologist order.
- Monitor machine parameters and patient parameters periodically during dialysis procedure and document it.
- Disinfect and clean hemodialysis machine after each procedure.
- Cannulate av fistula and av graft.
- Disinfect, clean and maintain water treatment system.
- Reverse osmosis water sending periodically for microbiological analysis, chemical analysis and keep records.
- Sending Dialysate sample periodically for microbiological and chemical analysis and keep records.
- Appropriate record keeping for periodic prevention maintenance of dialysis machine, R.O, and dialysis chairs.
- Monitors compliance with policy and procedure.
- Management of complications during hemodialysis.
- Provide patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide a safe environment free from any form of discrimination and harassment.
- Aware of patient rights.
- Maintain an inventory of dialysis consumables.
- Maintain high standards of patient care through continuing education of staff regarding operating, cleaning and general maintenance and troubleshooting of hemodialysis machines and R.O units.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their family.

The strictest hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care, will be expected of all staff, including the post holder, at all times.
