Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Arabic dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to traditional recipes and techniques
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and menu planning
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
  • Contribute to menu development and recipe refinement
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques and practices
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and prepared foods
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Qualifications :
  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on Arabic cuisine
  • Profound knowledge of Arabic cooking techniques ingredients and flavor profiles
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices with HACCP certification preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
Additional Information :
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
