Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our quantitative dealing team and support the reliability and accuracy of business‑critical trading data reporting. In this role, you will focus on monitoring, validating, and reconciling analytical outputs, ensuring consistency across datasets and timely resolution of discrepancies raised by stakeholders.

You will work closely with Quantitative Analysts and multiple internal teams, playing a key role in the quantitative dealing team’s daily operations while gaining hands‑on exposure to production data, reporting pipelines, and analytical processes. Beyond maintaining reporting outputs, you will work on validating trading and risk metrics, investigating discrepancies, and supporting the continuous improvement of analytical frameworks used in daily decision-making. This role offers involvement with real trading data, critical risk management processes, and modern data infrastructure, making it an excellent opportunity for an early‑career professional or recent graduate looking to grow within a quantitative dealing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and validate daily and periodic reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with agreed definitions and benchmarks.
  • Perform first‑level reconciliation and discrepancy analysis across multiple data sources, identifying root causes and documenting findings.
  • Support reporting processes by maintaining datasets, applying changes to filters or parameters, and validating changes prior to release.
  • Contribute to the quality and reliability of data inputs used in risk management and hedging decisions.
  • Use Excel, SQL, and Python to extract, compare, and analyze structured datasets for reporting and reconciliation purposes.
  • Support backtesting and critical verification of existing risk management and dealing algorithms, helping assess their behavior under different scenarios and historical conditions.
  • Assist in documenting reporting logic, data assumptions, and procedural changes to improve transparency and reduce future discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Analysts, dealers, and other stakeholders to support smooth daily operations and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Gain exposure to sophisticated cloud‑based data and analytics services, contributing to the evolution of scalable and automated workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with data, particularly in accuracy‑critical environments.
  • Basic working knowledge of Python for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying and validating structured datasets.
  • High proficiency in Excel, including data reconciliation, formulas, and structured analysis.
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and identify inconsistencies or anomalies.
  • Strong motivation to learn, take ownership of tasks, and grow technical skills through hands‑on experience.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly document findings and explain to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A genuine interest in trading and financial markets is desirable.
