Position Summary The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and improving security controls to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, and data against cyber threats. The role ensures compliance with security standards, supports incident response, and continuously strengthens the organization’s security posture.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions across networks, systems, endpoints, and cloud platforms
  • Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities using SIEM and security tools
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation tracking
  • Lead and support incident response activities, including root cause analysis and reporting
  • Implement and manage identity and access controls (IAM, MFA, PAM)
  • Secure servers, endpoints, virtualization, VDI and IOT environments
Responsibilities (continued)
  • Support cloud security configurations and posture management
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with IT, application, and business teams to embed security by design
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
  • Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, access points and NAC technologies
  • Manage network-related hardware and software upgrades, patching, and maintenance
  • Managing Avaya Unified communication systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications (preferred): CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure/AWS Security
  • Relevant training or hands-on security engineering experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT security roles
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools and platforms
  • Experience in regulated environments (Healthcare, Government, Finance) is an advantage
