General overview:

The credit controller META provides support to the Head of Credit by coordinating credit closing, consolidation and reporting activities, while monitoring cash flow, FX exposure and credit risk across entities. The role ensures policy compliance, data accuracy and timely risk visibility to support informed business and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Credit closing & Consolidation
  • Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly and annual credit closing across META.
  • Collect, validate and control credit KPIs (DSO, overdue, provisions) prior to consolidation.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment between local credit data and regional reporting standards.
  • Monitor performance vs targets and identify key deviations and risks.
  • Assess and monitor bad debt provision on monthly basis in line with Group Policy.
  • Monitor cash flow performance across all entities
  • Prepare and maintain regional credit dashboards and reports (Overdue, DSO, cash flow)
  • Support the development and maintenance of credit reporting, including the instruments business.
Credit Policy & Control
  • Ensure entity compliance with EssilorLuxottica credit policies and procedures.
  • Monitor customer credit limits, blocked accounts and approved exceptions.
  • Investigate and follow up on problematic accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing credit documentation & explanations.
  • Support in AML monitoring activities in coordination with compliance teams.
Country & Functional coordination
  • Coordinate with META entities on credit related activities and projects.
  • Support credit coverage and business continuity in case of temporary gaps or peak periods.
  • Collaborate with Commercial & Finance to assess customer creditworthiness and manage outstanding balances.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes, controls and reporting across META.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience in credit control management.
  • Strong understanding of credit KPIs and receivables management.
  • Strong Excel skills and ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
  • Detail-oriented, structured and able to work under deadlines and pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a regional matrix environment.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
