Social Creative Director - Job Description

We're looking for a Social Creative Director to elevate our social content. Working with an in-house team of conceptualizers, designers, content creators, copywriters, and production teams, the Social Creative Director will be responsible for developing industry-leading social-first creative across all social platforms. This role is a player-coach position, where the ideal candidate can take ideas from concept to final delivery, maintaining high conceptual standards while paying attention to details.
Responsibilities for Creative Director
- Take responsibility and ownership for the creative social philosophy and the standard of output across the agency from a social and digital perspective.
- Own and drive the creative direction for all social content, ensuring platform-agnostic content format innovations. Manage projects through major stages of conception, creation, and execution.
- Utilize extensive social landscape knowledge combined with client/brand awareness to develop creative social ideation and conceptual creativity, focusing on more than just individual social posts.
- Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment with social adoption at the core of all ideas.
- Contribute hands-on by creating high-quality social-first content, staying updated with industry trends and best practices across all platforms, both technical and creative.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide opportunities for professional development and growth for team members.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies to drive social media content innovation.
- Enhance content quality by working with content creators, videographers, and animators to improve technical standards, post-production techniques, and software skills like After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role, focusing on social media content and campaigns.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns, content, and strategies.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of developing brand content through social-first marketing.
- Comfortable interacting with clients and industry professionals.
- Participation in ongoing professional development in content and social media areas.
- Hands-on experience in building social campaigns and content.
