Job summary

A corporate banking firm in Dubai is looking for a Corporate Analyst to support credit and relationship management by evaluating corporate and SME clients through financial analysis, risk assessment, and preparation of credit proposals. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the UAE banking sector and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

Corporate Analyst — Corporate Banking / Credit Risk / SME & Business Banking

Reports To: VP Credit Management | Location: Dubai UAE | Expected Joining: September

Job Purpose

To support the credit and relationship management teams by evaluating corporate and SME clients through financial analysis, risk assessment and preparation of well-structured credit proposals in alignment with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements, business models and industry trends to assess the creditworthiness of corporate and SME clients.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit proposals and renewal memos including financial spread analysis, covenant checks and credit rating justification.
  • Support RM team with due diligence, client onboarding documentation and credit file completeness.
  • Monitor account performance and track covenant compliance for assigned portfolio.
  • Assist in portfolio reporting, credit review and risk monitoring.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Legal, Compliance, Risk etc.) to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Stay up to date with CBUAE regulatory changes and ensure alignment in credit process.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE banking / financial sector (Corporate and SME focus).
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.
  • Proven experience in drafting credit proposals and risk reports.
  • Familiarity with CBUAE regulations, Basel guidelines and internal credit policy.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • Arabic language is a plus.
  • Strong communication and writing skills (English mandatory).
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
