Job Purpose

The Contract Manager is responsible for managing all contractual and commercial activities across large-scale infrastructure projects. This role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements while providing guidance and support to project teams throughout the contract lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain standardised contract templates and clauses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer contract variations, claims, extensions of time, and cost-control measures.
  • Provide contractual advice and guidance to project teams at all stages of the project.
  • Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project management teams to resolve contractual issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contract documents, amendments, correspondence, variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Proactively manage contract renewals, expirations, and terminations to mitigate operational and commercial risks.
  • Prepare periodic contract status reports, including budget control and cost tracking.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, operational, and legal risks associated with contracts.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to reduce contract‑related exposure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as the primary point of contact for contract‑related matters.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
  • Degree or diploma in commercial management, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in contract management.
Preferable
  • Experience with FIDIC contracts.
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience handling claims and settlements.
  • Strong communication skills.
