A leading hospitality organization based in Dubai seeks a Communications Specialist to create and publish engaging content across various platforms. The role requires a strong grasp of the luxury hospitality industry, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Candidates need either a 2-year degree with experience or a 4-year degree in relevant fields. The successful applicant will also manage media relationships and optimize digital content for visibility.
Create and publish engaging content for various platforms such as website, social media, blog, etc.
Conduct research to stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices.
Eye for attention to detail.
Collaborate with other teams such as marketing and design to create content that aligns with the company’s goals and brand identity.
Develop and maintain editorial calendars to ensure consistent content production and timely delivery.
Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms to increase visibility and reach.
Analyze content performance metrics such as views, engagement, and conversion rates to inform future content strategies.
Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style.
Stay up‑to‑date with digital marketing trends and technologies to continuously improve content creation skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the luxury hospitality and/or the travel/tourism industries.
Established media contacts with regional and global titles across a spectrum of consumer and lifestyle segments.
Strong verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages advantageous.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to communicate well with all levels of management, staff, the business community, press, and VIPs.
Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
Process‑oriented, well‑organized, and capable of working quickly while simultaneously handling several projects; agility to adjust priorities and balance interests of multiple stakeholders.
Creative thinker with experience identifying and executing communications for new ideas.
A team player who works well with others and contributes to the team’s success.
Highly focused self‑starter with attention to detail, strong organizational and project‑management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced global environment.
Mastery of MS Office PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and basic graphic‑design computer software.
2‑year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related major; 2 years experience in public relations, communications, or related professional area.

4‑year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related major; no experience required.
Works collaboratively with local, regional, and national resources to build awareness and increase exposure for the property and restaurants.
Solicits new media outlets and travel media individuals.
Selects the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
Uses creative selling abilities to obtain maximum exposure through travel journalists and media outlets.
Increases awareness within the travel media community as well as coordinating events to gain exposures and grow revenue in the restaurant outlets.
Supports the hotel’s social media efforts if applicable.
Works with online media outlets to promote the hotel.
Coordinates offers and information for all publications and inserts regarding brand loyalty reward mailings.
Develops brochure and property collateral materials.
Participates in all property imaging work (e.g., signage).
Ensures consistent brand and property message is communicated in all public relations and communications efforts.
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new travel writers and local media to ensure future exposure. Activities include calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities and additional revenue.
Conducts solicitation and maintenance calls to media.
Identifies and communicates with distribution channels that can sell distressed inventory to drive property occupancy.
Provides all communications channels with creative and unique tools to assist in the public relations and communications of the property.
Assists property in developing promotions for various campaigns.
Provides accurate, complete, and effective communications to visiting journalists for publicity or promotions.
Evaluates new public relations opportunities for the property.
Develops strategic public relations plan for property including group leisure and local efforts.
Assists in managing individual and group media visits.
Coordinates community service activities in concert with the public image and needs of the resort.
Assists in creative print fulfillment; ensures corporate branding standards and legal compliances are met and incorporated into collateral.
Supports hotel press releases and other content for print media and electronic media.
Sets a positive example for guest relations.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers; continuously strives to improve service performance.
Conducts site inspections with visiting journalists.
Keeps detailed files and records on all matters relative to property’s public materials.
Ensures that property is following all corporate public relations guidelines.
