Job summary

A healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Clinical Pathologist to assist in establishing laboratory accreditation frameworks. The role is contract and part-time, providing expertise in developing compliance guidelines for CAP, ISO, DOH, and JCI standards. Responsibilities include reviewing laboratory policies and supporting internal audits. Ideal candidates will have an MD in Clinical Pathology and experience with accreditation processes. This is a non-operational role focused on high-impact projects.

Qualifications

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pathologist to support the establishment of our laboratory accreditation framework. This role is advisory and project-based, focused on developing guidelines, documentation, and compliance pathways required for CAP, ISO, DOH, and JCI accreditation. The pathologist will work closely with our leadership and lab setup teams but will not be responsible for day-to-day lab operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review all required clinical laboratory policies, SOPs, and quality documentation for accreditation readiness.
  • Advise on diagnostic test menu design, validation plans, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with CAP, ISO 15189, DOH, and JCI standards.
  • Support internal audits, gap assessments, and compliance planning.
  • Provide expert input during the lab setup and pre-accreditation phase.
Requirements
  • MD or equivalent with specialization in Clinical Pathology.
  • Proven experience with CAP/ISO/JCI/DOH accreditation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory quality systems and regulatory standards.
  • Available on a contractual or part-time basis for meetings, document review, and consultation.
